my first gig breaking into the bizzz..
check it out. this is what got me out of the salon and out of my stinkin RUT.
all the way up in Santa Clarita..45min NORTH of LA.
definitely not the normal babe hair+false lashes..& to only pack dirt for touchups?
hooray! its finally out and went to quite a few film festivals..
this won an ACCOLADE for best short!woohoo.

1920s vampire film::the audition
pinned curls.fingerwaves.brushed out-20s bed hair..
fun film i did for AFI...used TRUE BIRDS headpieces wherever i could..
.santa animals [S] film.
not the usual glitz&glam..
i had to make these dudes look a little drugged up.
coral shadow smudged below lower lashline..and red liner in the water line.
paled out face and for dark circles..i applied a foundation 4 shades darker..
and blotted with a medium brown bronzer and dabbed it with a plum matte shadow.
applied the same foundation to lips and blotted with a translucent powder..
{pursing lips while applying to get a chapped-cracked look}
we also cut chunks out of his hair and never washed it.
taber-one of the writers-had a cameo-an almost dead guy with a nice bloody nose.check it.
..i spy a yellow monkey on that mini van..
while catching grapes in our mouths at lunch..paul thought it would
be cool to step on a rusty nail ..going right through his shoe..
and was taken right away to the er for a tetanus shot..
made it back for our second location in no time.

ITSZY 1930s(SHORT)
what a lovely day it is..we shot this at the VP for Warner Bros. house..on Mulhauland Dr.
such a great view of the city.
the thirties were all about cupid lips.pencil thin brows.and vamped up eyes
{shadowing the inner crease}
i think these suits were vintage from the 30s.
a remake of sunset boulevard-with a twist.

i just spent the weekend in LA..doing hair&makeup for this short film..

this house was awesome.built in 1908.no heat.no plumbing.a FREEZING 30˚something!!
the master had grey roots and brows to start..i used Laura Mercier's coffee ground shadow to fill in..Origins-gingersnap blush and Laura Mercier's-bare lips sheer lip color..and set with translucent powder to give it a natural-matte look..also used a dry angled brush and applied a soft line of shadow along the lash line top+bottom to POP the eyes. i love men with makeup!
i got to work with the amazing Taylor Trikilis and Jesse Brunt be sure to watch his reel...hope i get to work with them again..
